The Quarry Hill Elementary school is a new 122,385 s.f. facility serving 900 students. The challenge was to make the school feel smaller than it really is. This was achieved by creating three houses of 300 students each. These tee wings connect to a Common which fills the interior with natural light and serves as the entry lobby for the entire school. The Common is also the contact point for core functions including library, cafeteria gymnasium, , swimming pool, and administration. Site development included athletic fields, storm water detention areas (which double as skating rinks) and parking for 200 cars.
